Coming soon to ND: Charter school hub from American Experiment
With the passage of new legislation allowing charter schools in North Dakota for the first time, American Experiment will soon launch an online platform to support charter school founders and other charter school innovators as they navigate this new space of education freedom in the state. American Experiment North Dakota’s charter school hub will be packed with resources and guides to help expand the charter school movement in the state. North Dakota became the 47th state to allow charter schools during the 2025 legislative session.
American Experiment North Dakota received a grant from the State Policy Network’s Ed-Prize to assist charter school development in the Peace Garden State.
“We look forward to partnering with other individuals and organizations creating a future where all children have the opportunity to pursue an education in a learning environment where they can thrive,” said American Experiment North Dakota Executive Director Jennifer Benson.
“The charter school hub will provide resources that also include suggestions and expertise from other states that already have charter schools, including Minnesota, the birthplace of the movement,” added Catrin Wigfall, education policy fellow and former charter school teacher.
