Property tax hikes push New Jersey man to breaking point
Property taxes have been big news in North Dakota in recent years as bills have soared. It will be cold comfort to know that the state is not alone in this. At a recent town hall meeting in Cranford, New Jersey, local resident Will Thilly felt moved to protest about local property taxes.
The United States was founded with a revolt against taxes and, perhaps, one day Thilly will be venerated like those who dumped tea into Boston harbor. I will be lobbying hard for him to be American Experiment’s next annual dinner speaker.
